Dr. James Graham, DC

Hello! I’m Dr. Graham and I’d like to tell you about myself and how I became a chiropractor.

Back in 1997, I was in my final year at the University of Colorado where I was a pre-med student. I had always wanted to be a doctor so I could “help people get healthy.” Well, one day when I was doing an internship with a local medical doctor, it struck me that most of the patients we were seeing weren’t actually getting healthier; they were simply covering up their symptoms with pills and never getting to the cause of their problems.

At the time, my wife, Angie, was a nanny for a chiropractor. He offered to take care of our family as a benefit for working for him. I told him I didn’t need a chiropractor. I didn’t have low back pain, neck pain, or anything else I thought chiropractors helped. I told him I had headaches once in awhile but it was just the “normal amount.” He explained to me that the normal amount is none! I thought he was crazy but I decided to give him a try.

When I went to his office, he did an exam, took some films, and then “adjusts” my spine. The adjustment didn’t hurt, it actually felt good. I got relief from tension in my neck and headaches, and also notice that I slept better and got sick less often! It worked so well for me, and I was so impressed with the other “miracles” I saw in his office, that I eventually went to chiropractic school myself.

I decided to go to Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. I absolutely loved the school and the time I spent there. I graduated in 2003 Magna cum Laude and was a presidential scholar. I even had the opportunity to travel to the Amazon city of Manaus, Brazil, where I was able to treat people there when they were in need of chiropractic care.

I am happily married and have 3 adult children. I try to live a healthy lifestyle, work out a few times per week, play soccer, and enjoy snowboarding in the winter.

Angie

Front Desk/Chiropractic Assistant

Angie has been a massage therapist for over 10 years and has recently taken over the front desk/chiropractic assistant position. Her hobbies often change but she is currently into gardening and has always enjoyed snowboarding (until last season when she broke her arm). She can be quite sarcastic so be ready for that!
